Kierspe, Friedrichshafen | Fakuma, one of the world's leading trade fairs for industrial plastics processing, opens its doors in Friedrichshafen from October 17 to 21. At the 28th Fakuma, around 1,500 exhibitors from the industry will present their developments and technologies. Reinhardt-Technik will also be represented again as an exhibitor at Fakuma 2023 and will present the LSR eTwin Connect metering and mixing system at three booths. On the one hand, the machine manufacturer's metering technology will be on display at its own booth A3-3313. Secondly, Reinhardt technology systems can be seen in use at the booths of partners Sumitomo (B1-1105) and Arburg (A3-3101).
The applications at Fakuma 2023
Dental protective caps are produced at the Reinhardt booth. The parts are produced on a 4-cavity mold from EMDE MouldTec and the IntElect 75/420-625 injection molding machine from Sumitomo. The protective caps have a unit weight of 0.425 grams, which requires high-precision metering of the material. This is made possible by the LSR eTwin Connect metering system. It is the optimal solution for both small and large shot weights that need to be metered with high precision. In this metering application, the shot weight is 1.7 grams. Through the OPC-UA interface, it is possible to track the dispensing parameters and reproduce them remotely.
At Sumitomo's booth, single conductor seals are produced for the automotive industry. An IntElect 180/570-250 from Sumitomo with a robot and a 256-cavity mold from RICO and the LSR eTwin Connect dispensing system from Reinhardt-Technik will be used. The combination of the components enables the production of large quantities and a high level of process reliability, as the injection molding machine, mold and metering system are optimally matched to each other.
Sumitomo's booth will feature a new option of the LSR eTwin Connect: The material scanner. During the barrel change, the QR code of the material barrel is scanned. This enables the metering system to recognize which properties the material has and to preset the metering parameters. The LSR eTwin Connect of this booth is equipped with an optimized drawer. This allows the drum to be moved in and out via a foot pedal. This enables a fast and ergonomic barrel change.
The drawer will also be on display at the Arburg booth. Here, the LSR eTwin Connect will meter and mix LSR material into an Arburg injection molding machine. A box is then injected in the mold, which consists of a thermoplastic in addition to the material from the metering system from Reinhardt-Technik. This complex application is realized with a mold from RICO.
We are pleased to present the LSR eTwin Connect at three booths and to convince you of its product features. These are e.g. high efficiency, mixing and dosing accuracy as well as a modern design. A major advantage of the LSR eTwin Connect is the ability to empty drums up to 99.75%. Due to the maximum material utilization, considerable cost savings can be generated with the metering machine from Reinhardt-Technik.
